Beaches

I was born in the state of Montana.  As you can imagine, Montana is not known for it’s beaches.  I did spend half my life there and half my life in Washington state.   When I was young my father moved us to Orcas Island in Washington state.   There is honestly not much more beautiful scenary or beaches than the ones in the San Juan Islands.  They are magnificent in the summers.   I have now lived in Washington with my wife and kids for the last 25 years.

Despite being born in a land locked state, I’ve always been drawn to the beach and the water.  I remember being mesmerized by the ocean in Santa Cruz CA when I was in the 9th grade.  My love for the ocean and beaches grew over the years from the various activities.  I’ve tried- Beach combing, Photography, Rock Climbing, Surfing, Snorkeling, Scuba Diving- you name it. I even got married to my wife on a beach in Maui Hawaii.  I’m glad to  try anything when it comes to the beach.

My current passion is taking photos at the beach.  My wife likes to make fun of the random pictures I take a the beach of surf.  “Doesn’t one beach or wave look like another?” she’d say.  To this old beach bum- I’d say no.  On this page you’ll find pictures of my various pictures of beaches we have visited.  I am still try to prove to my wife that all beaches are not the same.  🙂

This is an continuation of my Maui blog post. These are a collection of pictures for you to enjoy.
